The Indian Journalists Federation (IJF) (Regd. No. 1572/2018) is a national body committed to protecting the rights, dignity, and freedom of journalists across India. The federation works to promote ethical, independent, and responsible journalism while strengthening unity within the media community.
IJF actively supports journalists through advocacy, awareness programs, and initiatives aimed at ensuring professional integrity, safety, and fairness in the field of media. It serves as a strong collective voice for journalists, addressing challenges faced by media professionals and encouraging ethical practices within the industry.
The federation is guided by a dedicated leadership team, including G. Shantha Ram, Secretary General; Anish B. Lal, Treasurer; Bhimal Krishna Thamb, President; Mr. Anil Priyadarshan Sharma, Assam State President; and Mr. Kuldeep Das, General Secretary. Their combined experience, vision, and commitment play a vital role in strengthening the organization and advancing its mission at both national and regional levels.
